#TheVoiceNigeria: Ain’t nobody badder than Bada, Wolei toh bad, Glowrie and everyone who stole tonight’s show

Someone must have saved the best for tonight.

From six performances, two steals, one indecisive judge, one smart judge and eight contestants who went through to the live show, here’s everything you missed:

Obichi and Isaac were the first to perform and they kicked off the show with a popular Nigerian favourite, Romantic by Korede Bello featuring Tiwa Savage. Did they bring on chemistry? Did they show off their singing prowess? Yes to all of that and more but Waje had to pick only one contestant and she saved Obichi.

Tama Nisa and Annie C are two contestants who gave their all at the blind auditions and when they got picked to battle, they developed a strong bond that hopefully will last beyond the show. Both ladies made Emeli Sande and Labyrinth proud with their rendition of 2012 love track, Beneath Your Beautiful. It was a tough pick for Patoranking but he went with Annie C.

Majeeka and Wolei! The pair that got social media aflurry. They performed Niyola’s Toh Bad and it was beyond beautiful, their synergy, the chemistry and everything else worked in their favour. When it came down to picking, Yemi Alade went with Majeeka but in came calculated and calm Timi Dakolo who with his heel on the buzzer gave us the first STEAL of the night. Both contestants made it to the lives.

Blessing and Hightee may have stepped on a few toes with their subpar delivery of Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s powerful duet “No Air” but Hightee got her pass into the live show from Patoranking.

Signed, sealed and delivered was Godwin Bada’s testimony as he breezed into the live show with effortless grace. He was not only every coach’s choice, Timi Dakolo handed him a pass with the words “Ain’t nobody badder than Bada”.

Glowrie and Wilson couldn’t have wrapped up the show any better. They performed Toni Braxton and Babyface’s Hurt You and the words ‘outsing’ and ‘outshine’ had no place as both showed unmatchable strength and willpower to take them to the live show. And yes, they made it. Coach Waje picked Glowrie but Wilson got himself stolen by Yemi Alade.
