The White House is in disarray | 4 takeaways from the Scaramucci exit

In bizarre fashion, Donald Trump fired his new White House Communications Director – Anthony Scaramucci. The 53-year-old is a former Goldman Sachs man that was intentional about moving the direction of the White House from “reacting to news” to “setting a new White House narrative”. He joins eleven other key White House figures that have been removed or have lost their jobs in six months of a turmoil filled Trump administration.

His firing comes after a foul-mouthed tirade against two senior colleagues. Anthony Scaramucci told an interviewer that the chief of staff, Reince Priebus, was “a f__king paranoid schizophrenic” who would be asked to resign and that Scaramucci was not like Steve Bannon, the chief strategist, because “I’m not trying to suck my own cock”.

Scaramucci burst onto the scene late July after winning a power struggle that saw then chief of staff Reince Priebus and press secretary Sean Spicer lose a fight to keep him out of the West Wing. Spicer left the White House in protest. Scaramucci insisted that he was going to stop the leaks coming out of the White House while bringing down the heat between Trump’s aides and the media.

Here are some of the takeaways from Scaramucci’s exit

  1. The Mooch got too excited too quickly: There is absolutely zero doubt that Scaramucci was going to do a stellar job as Communications Director. But maybe, just maybe he got too enthused by the job and lost it immediately. His tenure was yet to begin as his job was to officially start on the 15th of August. The brilliant American has an impressive track record and is a massive loss to an already failing White House.
  2. Nobody fucks with Steve Bannon: Bannon seems to be like all the four horsemen of the apocalypse with no job description as ‘strategist’ means everything and absolutely nothing, but a lot of power. Rumour has it that Steve Bannon is the eyes and mouth and ears of the President of the United States and he has been doing a job of helping the President of the US move further away from the people he swore to govern.
  3. Trump is surrounding himself with generals: The self-proclaimed “hardman” President is surrounding himself with other hardmen that will probably just dance to the ‘tune’ of the “We will build a wall” and “We will destroy North Korea” crooner.
  4. The White House is in disarray: We didn’t quite expect that the White House would be the mess that it is right now. We expected that the US would have made the mighty wall of China 2.0, deported all black people and Mexicans and other people that did not look like Irish invaders of Northern America, that Obamacare would have been repealed and that Donald Trump would have been crowned “King of the World”. But much like everything else, the Trump White House has not achieved anything.

It’s so sad that time doesn’t fly when you’re experiencing the full depth of an idiot.
