All the things RTs can get you just by playing on ‘beggi-beggi’ Twitter

If you’re fervent on Twitter, you’ll know that every new day comes with a peculiar trend that rules for a while till everyone moves on to something new and more interesting. This time though, things have gone live on Twitter NG with the “How many RTs” trend and it seems “beggi-beggi Twitter” as some people have called it is going to be here for a while.

What started out as a Twitter game by @burmese_tyga became viral within hours and tweeps are getting their wishes granted just by retweets.

Here’s how it works:

– Make a request from your favourite celebrity or company (depending on your need).

– If they’re cool peeps who dig how the trend works, they’ll tell you how many retweets you need to gather to get your request granted.

– Then you head on to Twitter streets hawking your tweet and begging profusely for retweets.

It’s simple, isn’t it?

Simple until the unadventurous ones ruin the purpose and the rest of us get super pissed and move right on to the next trend. But before it gets irksome, here are some of the benefits tweeps have gained from ‘harvesting’ RTs:

Internship with oil firm, Oando Plc

A free wedding performance by Adekunle Gold (this tweep most likely won’t get it considering the artiste has demanded 1 million retweets)

This tweep is not even sure what he wants…

This smart dude wants the newly released Tecno mobile device and he’s this close to getting it…

We hope he can keep this promise…

A job with the Lagos State Emergency Management (LASEMA) for a cheap 3,000 retweets.

2,000 RTs to set his music career in motion

This Twitter account switched up the game by offering a million naira for 10,000 RTs

We’ll see how this dude fares by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, this tweep has an advice for every participant

This is useful advice as a number of people have started making rubbish of the purpose of the game by making ridiculous requests, like this one below…

We’re not sure how long the trend will last but it has done a lot of good for tweeps who have participated wisely but the ‘inventor’ of the RT game is pleased with himself.

Beggi-beggi Twitter is the new ish!
