Political Twitter Nigeria can be an amusing and deadly space, and should, therefore, come with a caveat: enter at your own risk. We’re issuing you a caveat in respect of this post: Highly prejudiced. Proceed at your own risk. The reason is simple- party politics is at play.
Ever since Ibe Kachikwu’s leaked memo on the inner workings of NNPC in recent times were released, PDP stalwarts have had a field day.
[In case you missed it]: “Baru’s fraudulent $26 billion contract scandal causes Twitter outrage”
It’s the breath of fresh air they’ve needed to come back from the relentless Jonathan was so corrupt, he drove Nigeria’s economy into the ground rhetoric. It’s also given them leverage against the opposition APC, who was only too eager to roast their party over Diezani and Andrew Yakubu‘s (Jonathan’s appointees) reported jaw-dropping theft at the same corporation.
This thread is a clean strike against all the APC overlords on TwitterNG, with a GEJ-Diezani grudge (let’s just call it a PDP grudge) -even if the tweep gets some of his facts wrong.
See below:
