The other day we asked how far you will go to get a job. Well, this lady took to the streets with a cardboard in an attempt to find one. Bear in mind that this is not exactly novel. Few months ago, two ladies took this creative approach.
The interesting twist is that she did not exactly state her qualifications. Instead she stated categorically that she will not become a prostitute because of her negative circumstances. A number of tweeps thought she missed the mark with this ad. Some even thought she was shaming prostitutes.
Would you hire her if you were a CEO? https://t.co/bWdqRjt6Cb pic.twitter.com/rq6gTOvFCa

We need to have a serious talk about this girl's idiotic mindset and how it feeds into the greater problem in Nigerian society. pic.twitter.com/SOojLUq1GF

very bad elevator speech! Doesn't state who she is, her qualifications, what she can offer, what she wants. Wasted placard!

Gone are the days when having a degree guaranteed a job. Entrepreneurship is king.

Well, if we are to play devil’s advocate, no one knows what pressure the young lady is facing that informed her particular choice of words. In any case, it is in some sense an emotional appeal, and it could eventually work, no? Still, it’s a better play if she could have at least stated her qualifications.
