7 years ago today, President Umaru Yar’Adua died. His death occurred amidst rumours of cabals, 11 weeks after his return from Saudi Arabia for a medical vacation.
On January 19th, President Buhari proceeded on a medical vacation that he initially passed off as a routine check up which would last only 10 days. So while Nigerians expected his return on February 5th, we were told the president wouldn’t return anymore and no date was given for his return. He eventually came back on March 10th and since then has hardly had any public exposure, missed four Federal Executive Council Meetings and even Jum’at prayers. Nigerians believe the situation is dire despite Aisha Buhari’s remarks to the contrary.
