#BayelsaDecides: Governor Dickson takes early lead, wins 4 local councils

Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) is clearly ahead of the pack in the Bayelsa State Governorship election having polled 81,929 votes.

There are eight local councils in the state and Dickson has thus far, won four out of the five local councils where results have been collated.

Collation of the election results was postponed to 10am on Monday.

Former governor of the state, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trails Dickson with 56,514 votes.

Both Sylva and Dickson showed good home form, as the latter won in his Local Council, in Brass while the former won in Sagbama.
