7. Audu Maikori
After being arrested twice on charges of incitement based on a petition by the Kaduna State government, Audu Maikori is fighting back. He has sued Governor El Rufai for human rights violation and is seeking damages to the tune of 10 billion.
After Audu’s second arrest, he was detained for four (4) days, after which he was charged to a Kaduna State Magistrate Court under Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act of 2015 but released on bail on medical grounds. He had collapsed at a public function days before his second arrest and detention.
