Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1. Sam Hart
This being World Teachers Day, Sam Hart made a world-class appreciation thread for all his teachers. He’s a product of Nigeria’s public school system so we found his thread absolutely delightful.
[In case you missed it]: “Nigerian teachers are legends”
Others had something to say about their teachers too.
I'm grateful to be your student. Thank u for challenging me to be my best & instilling in me a passion for learning. Happy #WorldTeachersDay
— Mad E'Leine ??♀️?? (@badgalmaddie_) October 5, 2017
Happy Teachers day to all hardworking and wonderful Teachers. Keep doing great making us proud and building nations. ???❤#WorldTeachersDay

Thank you to all teachers, past, present and future, none of us would be where we are today without you#MSMsaluteTeachers #WorldTeachersDay

2. Atiku
Former President of Nigeria gave a special shout out to his Geography teacher.
Teachers are the ladders we climbed to get to where we are. They are human fountains of knowledge. I celebrate them this #WorldTeachersDay.
— Atiku Abubakar (@atiku) October 5, 2017
I’ll never forget my Geography teacher, Mr. Iyorkur, and all he did to help me follow a sound path. God bless all teachers #WorldTeachersDay

3. Shehu Sani
The outspoken Senator has told President Buhari to resign his ministerial position since he can’t keep up.
You gotta give it to him.
4. @segalink
The Kachikwu memo drama and the NBC new gag on free speech have caused major Twitter Nigeria outrage. @segalink has used the opportunity to educate Nigerians about the forthcoming elections:
Another blank cheque is going to be handed over to you in 2019. Don’t elect Hyenas with the expectation that the Goats will be cared for.
— SEGA L’éveilleur®? (@segalink) October 5, 2017
You must also not excuse your blunders after the fact, by complaining when the Goats are consumed by the pseudo reformed Hyenas.
— SEGA L’éveilleur®? (@segalink) October 5, 2017
We are co-authors of our own misfortunes.
— SEGA L’éveilleur®? (@segalink) October 5, 2017
Those who chanted for Change then believed they were procuring a Mercedes Benz but today they ride in tears in a Keke NAPEP.
— SEGA L’éveilleur®? (@segalink) October 5, 2017
This however need not be fatalistic. The earlier we realize that there is power in unity, we can take back our country or perish as fools.
— SEGA L’éveilleur®? (@segalink) October 5, 2017
But a few that know the truth are either too afraid to stand by it or focus on their self preservation in expectation of an appointment.

5. Dr Joe Abah
Dr Joe Abah took a little beating on Twitter NG for changing his views about the APC.
Not one to let anyone stick it to him without having his own say, Dr Joe has clapped back at his critics:
A man of low intellect forms an opinion & sticks to it at all cost, even in the face of superior argument, hoping soon to say I told you so. pic.twitter.com/y00KgoFs4f
— Dr. Joe Abah (@DrJoeAbah) October 5, 2017
Other than the laws of physics, intellectuals know that positions that are correct at a point in time tend not to remain correct forever.
— Dr. Joe Abah (@DrJoeAbah) October 5, 2017
As as constantly aspire to sharpen my intellect, I will change my mind on many things along the way. Deal with it. I have! End of thread!!
— Dr. Joe Abah (@DrJoeAbah) October 5, 2017
Our "laws of physics" too change. Our theoretical approximations of physical laws morph over time as new evidence emerges. https://t.co/jGdq04BOJb

6. Tiwa Savage
The men are scum hive have been buzzing on Twitter Nigeria in the wake of Tiwa Savage’s comments on gender equality. She’s been ground and roasted and served to the shacks.
Afrispheric is just tired.
God bless our women abeg o
We are in this boat together
You take the left paddle, men take the right

7. Ifemidayo
Speaking of women, Ifemidayo’s thread is the truth.
This is a story of my Mum! The best woman in my life.
It was in 2012 that I realized my mum was just earning about N80k per month
— Ifemidayo⚪️ (@IFM4real) October 5, 2017
Mothers are the best!
Teachers do the most!

Jasper Jaja
Following the ruckus @JajaPhd caused on Twitter two days in a row for trying to sell adverts using a story that was well, Kendall Jenner-ish, Jaja has finally accepted that what he did was wrong. Here’s his apology:
