Every day, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are even just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1 Femi Kuti
Femi Kuti is chiming in on the Audu situation. Yesterday, Audu Maikori was re-arrested. This comes days after he slumped at a speaking engagement and had to be hospitalised briefly.

Says something about our law enforcement agencies.
2. Chidi Odinkalu
Human rights activist and writer, Chid Odinkalu thinks there must be something to these Friday arrests.
It looks like @PoliceNG only remembers @Audu on Fridays. They must love his company for week-ends. Fascinating…. @GMabeiam@Makmid

3. Onye Nkuzi
UK diplomat, Andrew Fleming, thought to lift our spirits up with this tweet.
Start your weekend wiv a positive tweet about Nigeria.
You can follow up with plenty of venting after but a little positivity is contagious.— Andrew Fleming (@Andrew007Uk) March 11, 2017
Onye Nkuzi couldn’t understand why.
For example, #AuduMaikori was re-arrested;
This weekend.
Am I supposed to ignore that & "manufacture a positive tweet"? https://t.co/iTJj3rGyU9

*Sigh*
4 Saratu
Saratu will like us to swallow back our bile when we engage people on social media- especially when these people are ignorant and vocal about it.
Do see below:
I'm probably going to get my head bitten off for this, but we're going to have to find a way engage people's ignorance w/out insults.
— Yung S'Challa (@saratu) March 11, 2017
And yes, we can do this while rightly check people for their privilege or assumptions.
— Yung S'Challa (@saratu) March 11, 2017
If I like you and we were talking in person, and you said something stupid or ignorant, my default won't be to "cancel" you from "my faves".
— Yung S'Challa (@saratu) March 11, 2017
I know it's not like many of those talking know CNA's number, but I worry all the same about the nature of our discourse on here.
— Yung S'Challa (@saratu) March 11, 2017
Because not everyone is equally irredeemable; we need to be willing to engage those who aren't. That's what advocacy has always meant for me

5 Aduke Peperempe
Ritual killers are back. Not like they ever left.
Do see below, please.
Which reminds me. Ritual killers are on the prowl again in Lagos. A colleague escaped from their den after he was kidnapped.
