According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll, Donald Trump’s behavior as President has confused 70 percent of the respondents, who said since he assumed office in January, his actions have been unpresidential, according to Politico reports.
The poll which was released Sunday shows Trump’s six-month approval rating at 36 percent, the lowest any U.S president has ever had at this point in 70 years.
Politico reports, President Trump’s famous Twitter habit got a very strong rebuke from those polled, with 67 percent responding they disapprove of his use of the social media platform. 52 % said his use of Twitter was “dangerous,” while 65 % said it was “insulting” and another 68 percent said it was “inappropriate.” On the positive side, 41 % who said the president’s tweets were “interesting” and 21 % who called them “refreshing.”
38% of Republicans said Trump’s conduct has been unpresidential, 48 % of white evangelical Protestants reached by the poll and 55 % of white men without a college degree who responded.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted from July 10-13 in both English and Spanish, reaching 1,001 adults nationwide via landlines and cell phones. The poll’s margin of error was plus-or-minus 3.5 points.
