Trump sends condolence message to Las Vegas shooting victims

Following a shooting which occurred outside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip during a music festival on Sunday evening which left about 50 people dead and 200 injured, President Trump has sent his warm condolences to the victims.

Trump wrote in a tweet, My warmest condolences and sympathies to the victims and families of the terrible Las Vegas shooting. God bless you!”

A lone gunman opened fire from a perch high up in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday, during the final night of the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival which took place across the street from Mandalay Bay.

The “nonstop gunfire” according to one witness, sent bystanders outside the resort on the Vegas strip ducking for cover and fleeing for their lives.

Witnesses said shots were being fired from an elevated hotel position.

The suspect, a 64-year old white male has since been killed during a shooting engagement with police.
