Trump slams Sen. Rand Paul over ObamaCare repeal role

President Trump has launched a fierce attack on his ‘friend’, Senator Rand Paul. The President through a tweet accused the GOP lawmaker of being a negative force in the attempts to repeal the ObamaCare health plan.

Trump wrote in the tweet: “Rand Paul is a friend of mine but he is such a negative force when it comes to fixing healthcare. Graham-Cassidy Bill is GREAT! Ends Ocare!

Moving forward, the President through a subsequent tweet, hoped and urged the Republican Senators to support the new Obamacare repeal bill propagated by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy.

He wrote, “I hope Republican Senators will vote for Graham-Cassidy and fulfill their promise to Repeal & Replace ObamaCare. Money direct to States!”

Rand Paul alongside Susan Collins were the only public GOP who made a no vote in the July failure of the Obamacare repeal failure and he has shown no commitment to the new effort at repealing the healthcare plan.

Rand argued that the Graham-Cassidy Bill only gives an amnesty to ObamaCare as it isn’t a repeal but keeps it. He however said, he is ready to work with the President on a real repeal.
