While Trump was turning America upside down, here’s everything Obama was getting up to

The 44th President of the United States of America has been on a 3-month long vacation – hardly a commensurate holiday period for a man who spent 8 years leading the “The Great USA, if you ask us – but 55 year old Obama is set to get back to the business of real life after Presidency in a few weeks.

Although we’d have recommended a longer time for Obama and the beautiful Michelle on vacation, the most loved couple haven’t had the worst time resting.

Since taking off right in the middle of Donald Trump’s “well-attended” inauguration ceremony, the Obama’s have not only set up their abode for life outside the White House, they have also teased us with photos from a very exciting and sometimes romantic holiday.

From dancing in clubs to chilling with the stars on a yacht, catch up with how Mr Obama’s spent his holiday below.

The Obamas will now live in this nine-bedroom mansion in Washington DC

The mansion rests in the upscale Kalorama neighbourhood of Washington DC; not very far from the White House. Obama already explained that the choice to stay in Washington was heavily influenced by the need to ensure that the younger of his two daughters, Sasha can complete her high school education where she started.

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama took off for Palms Springs, California immediately after handing over to Donald Trump on the 20th of January.

Obama spent time golfing in Palmsprings while he and his wife stayed in the lovely Icha Mayapan, an 11,000 sq. foot stucco home in Palm springs in Southern California.

Next, the vacation turned into #IslandLife, a phase that heralded photos of Obama kitesurfing with his friend and Virgin Group founder, billionaire, Richard Branson on the British Virgin Islands.

He stopped a little to catch a broadway show in Newyork where he was photographed during the day outside a library and then went on to dine with U2s Bono.
By the 14th of February, there was absolutely no doubt that the former United States President was still enjoying #IslandLife groove and with his “favourite island mate” too. He put out a lovey-dovey message on Twitter to celebrate Michelle on Valentines.

Next up, we found the former president dancing up a storm at the Soca Concert in Trinidad and Tobago.

And finally, the most recent in the fun line-up has been the widely reported experience he and Michelle shared with Bruce Springsteen, Oprah, and Tom Hanks on Hollywood star, David Geffen’s yacht. While Oprah has promised she won’t spill a word of how the party played out on the boat, a photo of Obama taking a yacht photo of his wife.
But it has not been all play.
Random Penguin House announced in February that they had won the bidding to publish both Barack and Michelle Obama’s memoirs so we know that the former President and his wife have been doing a lot of writing amidst all the fun.
