Union Bank hosts over 200 participants at the second edition of its Google powered digital training workshop in Oko, Anambra State.

Union Bank, Nigeria’s leading innovative financial institution, affirms its partnership with Google as it hosts over 200 participants at the sophomore edition of its digital training workshop for the students of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.

After a successful first edition at the Ventures Platform Abuja, also in partnership with Google, Union Bank continues on its journey to train and empower Nigerian youths with basic digital skills.

“With almost a century of experience and heritage in Nigeria’s financial sector, Union Bank is an institution that understands the need to keep evolving, learning and growing to stay relevant in today’s fast paced economy” said Omotola Oyebanjo, Head of Communications and Media, Union Bank, while addressing the students.

“We aim to keep delivering this across the country and our goal is to equip Nigerian youths with the basic digital skills needed to discover learning materials online, build businesses, create jobs and contribute to the overall economic growth of the country.” she concluded.

The Google powered workshop is also aimed at helping more Nigerians play an integral part in the digital technology economy.

With topics ranging from content creation, digital strategy, web design, social media and app development, the free digital skills workshop gives millennials access to fundamental digital skills, enabling them to independently open up a world of opportunities for themselves.
