Former Aviation Minister and People Democratic Party chieftain, Kema Chikwe has expressed doubts at reports of hundreds of schoolgirls getting kidnapped from the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno.

Pressure has been mounted on President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure the release of the girls who were abducted by men suspected to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

Chikwe who was speaking at a prayer session held for national security at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, said there were many unanswered questions concerning the kidnap.

According to her, answers need to be given to questions like: “How did it happen? Who saw it happen? Who did not see it happen? Who is behind this?”

Chikwe reportedly described those behind the various crimes plaguing the country as “lovers of darkness rather than light.”

“There is no newspaper that does not carry news of rape… even babies. There is hypocrisy about corruption among individual Nigerians.”

“The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the kidnap of Chibok schoolgirls,” she said.

According to SaharaReporters, the former aviation minister went further to question the accuracy of reports regarding the abduction and if it ever happened.

Several people, including the former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili, today converged in Abuja to register their grievances against the abduction calling on the government to bring back the abducted girls.
