Weeks after he severed business ties with his manager mom, Burna Boy and his record label of 3 years have also gone their separate ways.

Contrary to widespread reports that he has walked out on his contract with Aristokrat, Burna Boy reportedly saw out his deal with the Lagos based record label.

According to his booking representative, the artistes’ contract ended amicably with both parties still maintaining good rapport. “Burna Boy did not leave Aristokrat,” he told YNaija.com. “His contract expired back in May but they are still cool, Aristokrat is like family to Burna Boy.”

Meanwhile, the record label has removed everything related to him from their social media accounts.

Aristokrat signed the versatile act in July 2011, and he went on to release two consecutive mixtapes ‘Burn Notice’ and ‘Burn Identity’ in April and November 2011.

Burna boy followed up with his first hit song ‘Like to Party’ in 2012, which launched him into nationwide stardom as he successfully released follow up singles ‘Tonight’ and ‘Run my race’, which both turned to be hits songs.

Aristokrat records still has on its label roster upcoming acts Pucado, Leriq, Ozone and Mojeed.
