Nigeria’s Super Eagles have started their journey to the 2018 World Cup on a good note, after defeating Zambia 2-1 in Ndola.

Arsenal youngster, Alex Iwobi put Nigeria in front after poor defending attempt from the Zambians.

Kelechi Iheanacho then doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, dribbling the Zambian goalkepper and slotting the ball into the net.

The home team managed to pull one back courtesy of a strike by Mbesuma in the 71st minute.

Nigeria now tops group B which also has Algeria and Cameroon.
