Long ago I looked forward to tomorrow
It seemed all so important
A distant dream defined as delightful
A hope to harvest a home
Would it remain a dream, exciting only as a dream
Drudgery when in view
Would it be a hope reserved for tomorrow’s future
Do all dreams feed off you
Dreams, hopes, plans, d way of mankind
I sigh because I worry
So many things change
I’ve changed
May the dream be as delightful today as when I reached for it yesterday
