Agbaje died in LUTH, not London – Chambers

The Fred Agbaje’s Chambers on Sunday released a statement to officially announce the death of their principal, Fred Agbaje.

The statement, signed by Prince Kennedy U. Osunwa and Adeniyi Pokanu said contrary to media reports Agbaje did not die in London, but at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba.

The lawyers described him as “resolute defender of the oppressed, a law lord, legal authority of our time and a legal colossus has passed unto glory leaving a yearning gap to be filled in the legal jurisprudence. A rare gem is gone.”

It stated, “We regret to officially announce the death of our principal-in-chambers, Fred Agbaje Esq. who passed on to glory at about 8.00 am on Saturday, 26, November, 2016, at the University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba, Lagos.”
