Chuks, Tolu, Roqeebah, and Emeka join The Slab with Isime to talk about the Aisha Buhari’s BBC interview, the Chibok girls’ release, and Donald Trump’s locker room talk.
Do we take her warning serious or just regard her statement as musings from the other room? Here’s Roqeebah’s take on Aisha Buhari’s interview: “What did she bring to the table when they were doing the campaign? She’s talking about 2019 campaigns, are we even considering re-electing this man in the first place?!”
Emeka thinks differently, he thinks the First Lady should be taken seriously: “Look at Patience Jonathan, she was very powerful. Look at Yar’Adua’s wife, look at Stella Obasanjo, IBB’s wife, all of them were very powerful women…. the fact that Aisha Buhari shares a bedroom with the President tells you that the fact that she’s saying this is a reflection of something deeper… something that we should not ignore.”
