The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday said the party would use the remaining days before elections to fast and pray for victory.

He disclosed this while addressing APC members and supporters at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere in Lagos, who engaged in a 9.2km walk. “We will commit the remaining days before the elections to fasting and prayers and ensure that APC gets 100 per cent votes,” Ambode said.

Ambode said APC had proven a point with the walk stating that the party will give prosperity to Nigerians, if voted for.

It was reported that the walk tagged March for Change was flagged off by the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, at Maryland at 8.00a.m. The walk terminated at 1.05p.m. at the stadium.

In his address, Tinubu, appealed to Nigerians to vote for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming general elections. He said the party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, was passionate about transforming the country. “I thank you all for the walk today. Now, we have marched for that change we are clamouring for; marching for common sense revolution,” he said.
