62 next of kin of soldiers who died in battle against Boko Haram, have been compensated by the Nigerian Army.
On Friday, June 26, the Chief of Army Administration, Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar, presented cheques to families of the fallen heroes.
Abubakar said the gesture was a sign of appreciation for their fallen colleagues and the support from their families while in service.
He would also inform the next of kin to commence the process of claiming other entitlements due to them.
Some of the entitlements include; insurance, pension and sponsorship of their bereaved children between the ages of six and eighteen.
