List of Fashola’s contracts removed from Lagos’ website

The list of contracts awarded under the administration of former Governor Babatunde Fashola, has been removed from the website of Lagos state’s Public Procurement Agency,www.lagosppa.gov.ng.

The list which, can only be removed by the Lagos state government, had stated that Fashola’s administration spent N78.3m on his personal website,www.tundefashola.com, in 2014.

Another dubious contract on the list, is that appropriation of N139m on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja by Fashola’s administration.

However, recent visits to the section of the website which has all the lists of contracts awarded under Fashola’s administration between 2013 and 2014, showed that it had all been removed.

In many quarters, it is believed that the list of Fashola’s contract were only put out to smear the reputation of the former Lagos governor, and having achieved the purpose in the past couple of weeks, the list was no longer accessible to the public.
