FC Barcelona has signed Lucas Digne from Paris Saint-Germain FC for the next five seasons.
The Spanish champions have paid the French giants an initial 16.5 million euros for the 22-year-old French full-back with a possible 4 million euros according to the player and team’s results.
Barcelona has put a 60 million euros buy out clause on the full back.
After breaking into the first team at Lille, Digne was signed by PSG in 2013 where he stayed until 2015. He spent last season on loan at AS Roma, facing Barcelona in the Champions League group stage.
In total he has played 148 matches for Lille, PSG and Roma, scoring six goals and recording 13 assists. His pace on left makes him a threat going forward as does his excellent technical quality on the ball.
Lucas Digne will arrive in Barcelona on Thursday morning to undergo a medical and sign his contract and will be presented to fans at the Camp Nou later in the day.
