Boko Haram launches attack in Yobe, 3 killed

There is report that Boko Haram attacked the College of Administrative and Business Study (CABS), Potiskum, in Yobe State killing three students with at least twenty others injured.

It was gathered that the insurgents stormed the school around 8:30am Friday.

A reliable source who witnessed the Book Haram onslaught said the heavily armed insurgents numbering about five entered the school through the main gate after killing the security guard and opened fire randomly on students killing three of them.

The source added that one of the insurgents died as a result of Improvised Explosive Device (I.E.D) strapped to his chest exploded and injured over twenty students.

Medical workers have been mobilised to the school to evacuate those injured victims, while security has been stepped up in Damaturu, the state capital and Potiskum.

The Nigeria Police took to their official twitter to react to the attack. They said that 3 suspected suicide bombers entered the school premises.

“Due to the security arraignment, one of the attackers blew self up, he died on the spot injuring six other persons. All six injured have been rushed to the hospital and are receiving treatment, two other suicide bombers took to their heels,” it said.

The police further stated that the two suicide bomber suspects on the run have been apprehended at different locations and stating that only one person is dead at the moment and it’s the suicide bomber.
