Boko Haram poison water sources in parts of Borno

Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly poisoned water sources (wells and streams) in areas where they have been dislodged by the Nigerian Army.

The Army claims that the insurgents have poisoned the cattle water ponds in Kangallam village along Marte and Abadam axis in Borno state.

A large number of cattle were said to have died after drinking water from the ponds.

According to the army, no human life was lost as a result of the poisoning of water sources by the terrorists.

Citizens of the affected areas are therefore advised to avoid drinking water from unverified sources.
