A bomb has reportedly just exploded in a bus station in the northern Nigerian city of Kano with several people believed to have been killed.

Initial Reports say that a high calibre ‘improvised explosive device’ (IED) went off mid-afternoon inside the New Road motor park at Sabon Gari.

While the source of the attack remains unknown, many believe it to be the work of Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram, especially because of their recent spate of bombings and killings.
