The spate of unexplained shootings in the United States of America sadly continues with the shooting a while ago of five people in front of the Empire State Building in New York.

The spokesman of the New York Fire Department says it received a call on the shooting this morning and that emergency units were on the scene within minutes.

The spokesman however could not say exactly how many people were injured in the attack but there are reports that the gunman is among the dead.
