Buhari mourns late Sokoto lawmaker, Wamakko

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the death of Abdullahi Wamakko, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Kware/Wamakko Federal Constituency.

In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari condoled with his immediate family and leadership of the National Assembly.

He stated that Wamakko contributed immensely to the development of democracy.

Buhari expressed the belief that Wamakko died at a time that his services were most desired by the country.

He noted that Wamakko “gave encouragement to the younger generation to join politics and contribute their own quota to the country’s development.”

Buhari prayed Allah to bless the soul of the deceased, comfort his family and reward his good deeds.
