2 Senators withdraw vote of confidence on Saraki

83 Senators gave a vote of confidence to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday, when the Assembly resumed from its 6-weeks vacation.

48 were from the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party and 35 from the All Progressives Congress.

But on Wednesday, Senator Babajide Omowarare (APC-Osun East), rescinded his vote of confidence.

Similarly, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu (Jigawa South-West) has also withdrawn his vote of confidence.

He released a personally signed statement, saying he wasn’t consulted before his name was penned down for the vote of confidence.

Nakudu assured his constituents and the general public that his loyalty is only to his party, the APC.
