A man suspected to be the mastermind of several Boko Haram attacks, has been arrested in Niger.
Security forces say the suspect, known as Kaka Bounou, is responsible for the planning of various attacks by Boko Haram in Niger’s Diffa region near the Nigerian border.
According to ‘Anfani’, a private radio station in Niger, Bounou, who is a ‘captain of Boko Haram’, was arrested by security operatives on Thursday, February 12.
A source was quoted to have said: “He is a habitual offender who had been arrested several times and released, including the Nigerian judiciary”.
