Cease threats to avoid termination – Trump’s Defense Secretary, Mattis warns North Korea

The US Defense Secretary, James Mattis has warned North Korea to stop considering “actions that will lead to the end of the regime”, CNN reports.

In his released statement, the Secretary emphasized the capabilities of the allied forces to bring the People’s Republic to her knees.

He said, “The United States and its allied forces have demonstrated capabilities and unquestionable commitment to defend ourselves from attacks. Kim Jong-Un should take heed of the United Nations Security Council’s unified voices and statements from governments the world over who agree that North Korea poses a threat to global stability and security”.

He stated further, “The DPRK must choose to stop isolating itself and stand down its pursuit of nuclear weapons and should cease any consideration of actions that would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people.”

He added, “The DPRK regime’s actions will continue to be grossly overmatched by ours and would lose any arms race or conflict it initiates.”
