Chocolate City boss and one of Nigeria’s most successful rappers, MI Abaga, on Saturday rewarded five aspiring artistes with recording sessions, and a chance to perform live at Industry Nite.
MI who was among the list of top rate performers at the “33” Export ‘City of Friends’ brought Michael Ekanu – who happened to be a super-fan of MI – on stage to join him in performing his hit track, Beef, and the audience were thrilled by his perfect rendition.
MI who was visibly excited later decided to offer Ekanu and his music crew a chance to record a demo in his studio and to also perform at Industry Nite coming up later in the year.
The ‘City of Friends’ experience, a 3-day event to celebrate the World Friendship Day with consumers and lovers of “33” Export Lager Beer, provided thrilling musical performances from other top artistes like Femi Kuti, 2Baba, 9ice, Phyno, Flavour, Seyi Shay, Cynthia Morgan, YCee, Small Doctor among others.
