It’s not very often that we have the opportunity to tell a coming out story here on the Sexuality Blog. It’s even rarer when the person coming out is a man, is Nigerian and a Christian to boot.
Yet this is exactly what happened a few weeks ago when British Nigerian, @AdeThePhilosoph came out on his timeline. He was being threatened by people he knew, people his age who should have been more understanding, but we know better than to think homophobia has any age limit.
So after years of struggling internally, he took matters into his own hands and came out on his own terms, for his own sanity, and we the world is better for it.
This is not just me ‘coming out’, this is also an encouragement. To provide hope for all others who are struggling:https://t.co/EboG2l5rWq

We wouldn’t deign to tell his story for him, especially when he does it well on his own. We could all learn a thing or two from Ade.
Read his story here.
