Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Haliru Bello, has arrived a Federal High Court in Abuja for his arraignment over the diversion of funds meant for the procurement of arms for the war against Boko Haram.
Haliru Bello and his son, Abbah Mohammed and their firm, Bam Properties, have been charged on four counts of money laundering.
They are alleged to have received N300 million from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Bello arrived the court in a wheelchair, as his lawyer, Abdulaziz Ibrahim pleaded with Justice Ahmed Mohammed to allow his client remain in the chair while being docked.
