A Nigerian pastor based in Ghana, has declared that Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, should be the next Ooni of Ife.
The cleric, identified as Pastor Paul from Imo state, was said to have made the disclosure via a telephone call to the CEO of PM News, Bayo Onanuga.
Pastor Paul supposedly warned that if Momodu does not emerge the next Ooni of Ife, there would be bloodshed in Nigeria.
He told Onanuga that his proclamation was a prophecy from God.
The Pastor reportedly said: “If the Ife people refuse to crown Momodu, there will be bloodshed.”
Onanuga later took to his Twitter page, to share the information, and to question its veracity at the same time.
I got a phone call from a pastor in Ghana who said he has a message from ‘God’ to the people of Ife: Dele Momodu is the next Ooni, he says

3. because although #DeleMomodu was born in Ife, his connection is as near as Gbongan and as far as somewhere in Edo State — Bayo onanuga (@aonanuga1956) September 14, 2015
4. The pastor, a Nigerian based in Accra, who calls himself said he would go and consult God again. Certainly this ‘God’ is not Ominiscent — Bayo onanuga (@aonanuga1956) September 14, 2015
