A lawyer, John William Dong has sued Federal High Court Judge, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia claiming N5 million as damages for ordering his arrest and detention for four hours without any charge or trial.
Last month the father of a clerical officer filed a petition against Ofili-Ajumogobia for assaulting his son now the Lagos based judge has been dragged before a Lagos High Court in Igbosere, over alleged abuse of judicial power.

The Vanguard reports:
Joined as respondent in the suit, is the Superintendent of Prisons in charge of Federal High Court, FHC, Prisons Cell.
Dong is praying the court to declare that his arrest and detention without a charge or trial were extra-judicial, arbitrary, unlawful and amount to infringement of his rights to dignity of human person and personal liberty guaranteed by the Constitution.
