Elevator Baby is coming soon to Netflix, joining the high volume of Nollywood titles that can be found on the streamer. Produced by Niyi Akinmolayan and directed Akhigbe Ilozobhie, Elevator Baby tells the story of Dare (Timini Egbuson), a privileged young man with a fiery temper, who got stuck in a faulty elevator with a semi-literate pregnant woman in labour (Toyin Abraham). Dare is left with no choice but to try and save both mother and child.
Elevator Baby was the movie that allowed Abraham clinch Best Actress at the 2020 AMVCA, and Best Actor for Egbuson. Abraham excitedly made the announcement on her Instagram and revealing that she was seven months when shooting was done. Out this Friday, will you be watching?

Presidency reacts to shooting at Presidential Villa
The presidency has reacted to the shooting which reportedly occurred at the presidential villa in the early hours of Saturday. Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari described the incident as a “minor occurrence” which is being used by some critics to justify attacks on the government and the Nigerian leader.

Nigerian Army repels ISWAP attack in Borno
The Nigerian Army says it has repelled attacks by the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Monguno town in Borno. The insurgents stormed the village over the weekend while many residents were fast asleep. They shot sporadically into the air causing many to flee their homes.
