Jason Derulo joins Idris Elba, Taylor Swift in ‘Cats’ movie

Singer-songwriter Jason Derulo has been added to the cast of the film “Cats,” the live-action adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

Derulo will play “Rum Tum Tugger”, a cat who’s rebellious and never satisfied. Other to feature in the film include Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Francesca Hayward.

Angelina Jolie is ‘fighting stigma’ of sexual violence with new Film Festival in London

Angelina Jolie, 43, is taking part in the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict’s film festival, Fighting Stigma Through Film, which will focus on helping fight discrimination and social stigma that survivors of war zone rape face, according to a press release from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the U.K.

Jolie is the co-founder of Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict which is hosting Fighting Stigma Through Film later in November.

Artists and human rights defenders often taking significant risks, to tell the truth about crimes committed against defenceless women, children, and men during war,” Jolie said in a statement.

The perpetrators of war crimes often go to extreme lengths to keep the truth from being told. So I am proud to support the filmmakers taking part in the festival.”

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine indicted for armed robbery, racketeering, drug trafficking

Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, a 22-year-old platinum-selling rapper who has collaborated with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and 50 Cent, was indicted Monday in federal court on numerous charges that include alleged involvement in shootings, armed robbery and drug trafficking.

Prosecutors allege that he, along with five other men named in the indictment, are part of, or associated with, a violent New York City gang called Nine Trey Gangstas Bloods. The charges, which were unsealed on Monday in U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, include six counts against him.

According to prosecutors, if 6ix9ine is convicted, the minimum punishment could range from 3 years in prison to as much as a life sentence.
