Entertainment Roundup: Jay Z changes his name and announces new album, 4.44; Are you ready for Ndani TV’s new web series, Lagos Big Boy? | More stories

Here are the top stories from yesterday and others that unraveled while you slept – and are still buzzing on Entertainment Roundup this Tuesday morning.

Jay Z not only has new kids, he has a new album and a refurbished name too

The album is called 4.44 and will be released on 30 June.

Jay Z’s music streaming company, Tidal announced the album with clips of an upcoming film featuring Moonlight star, Mahershala Ali, Danny Glover and Lupita N’yogo.

A few bars from a new track “Adnis” by Jay Z, who welcomed twins with wife Beyonce over the weekend, was played over the clips.

4.44, Jay Z’s 13th studio album, will premiere and will be exclusive to Tidal for as long as Jay Z and other decision makers want.

Will it be made public at some point? We can only wait to find out!

Plus being a new dad and cooking a new album, Jay Z has changed his name.

Now it seems like he had so much in the offing but didn’t want to steal his twins’ shine so he waited for their arrival before letting stuff out…

Jay Z has brought back the hyphen to his name and will now capitalize all the letters. He dropped the punctuation four years ago but has taken it on again with caps.

So it’s JAY-Z, henceforth.
