Here are some of the biggest stories that made rounds in entertainment yesterday and others that unraveled while you slept – and are determined to buzz all day this Thursday.

Mr Eazi is Apple Music’s latest Up Next artiste

Leg over singer, Mr Eazi has been featured on Apple Music‘s platform for emerging acts, Up Next.

Mr Eazi features in a documentary where he talks on his music, the progress and acceptance. He will also be in a live performance and an interview with Beat 1’s Julie Adenuga, all to be featured exclusively on Apple Music.

Apple will also promote Mr Eazi‘s tracks on its playlists and iTunes Store.

The Up Next feature was introduced to Apple Music in April 2017 to promote “music’s next generation”.

Wizkid featured in The Economist’s 1843 Magazine

Not only did he get featured, Wizkid is the cover star of the 1843 Magazine‘s culture series, What The World Is Listening To.

The magazine describes Wizkid as “a global star” who “with his Nigerian twist on commercial pop, known as Afrobeats in deference to his forebears, commands a global following”.

Wizkid, who recently released an album, Sounds from the Other Side which he has repeatedly argued is an EP, was featured alongside other international artistes, Ethiopia’s Teddy Afro; Acrush, a Chinese boyband made up of girls; Vieja Escuela, a rocknroll band in Cuba; Venezuela’s Sound and Fury and others.

The magazine also notes that Sony executives are “giddy” at the commercial prospects of Wizkid’s collaboration with North American stars for his major-label debut.
