England were left stunned as a Denis Glushakov‘s goal denied them a win in their Euro 2016 opening clash against Russia on Saturday in Marseille.
It appeared Roy Hodgson‘s men were going to walk away with victory on the night after an Eric Dier 20 yard free kick put them ahead in the 73rd minute of the game.
However, Russia spoilt the three Lions’ party as they got a well-deserved equalizer in injury time through a picture-perfect header from their captain, Denis Glushakov.
England proved to be wasteful on the night as they had a number of opportunities throughout the game to comfortably secure a win only for Russia to make them pay for their wastefulness.
England will now have to beat Wales on Thursday if they are to try and finish top of the group.
