Faith Olotu: Getting Started (30 Days, 30 Voices)

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the
difference” – Robert Frost

There are many men that have changed the course of our lives and destiny. They have changed the way we see and do things, made things happen. They have done such great things that centuries down the line, we realise that we can’t imagine what our lives would have been without these wonderful things they’ve done

The guy that invented television or the dude who thought up the radio, or the brothers that did the airplanes…..these are men of substance that created things that people thought were unimportant and/or impossible.

They didn’t just make these creations to end there. They started a chain reaction of possibilities and opportunities that have made millions and millions of people better for it. Because of the guy that invented the TV, we have larger and bigger news stations, movies, TV shows and we don’t have to queue up to watch a drama just once in our lifetimes before the actors and actresses get old or die of
exhaustion. The dudes that invented the airplane made way for the manufacturing of airplane parts and now we even have people going got the moon and even some crazy people wanting to live on the moon.

WOW!!

Before, I get ahead of myself, the point I’m trying to make here is that these men went against the norm and the status quo. They didn’t just think out of the box, but they also went against the “voices of reason” telling them how impossible their dreams and ideas were.
People will advice you based on what they know and think they know. Half (if not all) of these people don’t know anything. They have only been in their teeny tiny worlds in their little heads. They haven’t even begun to step out and yet they feel justified in shoving their beliefs down your throat as the truth.

As for me, there’s only one truth and that is in my bible. But as we all know, the bible doesn’t directly and specifically handle things on x-rays, wireless signals, or ectoplasmic endoplasmic organisms and really advanced stuff like that; but God already knew we would discover these things and so HE sent us the Holy Spirit.

All we need to do is connect and He not only gives us the inspiration, he sends and directs us to the right people that will fan to flame the desire in us. He gives us the strength to pursue our dreams, the drive to see it to the very end, and when we need a hug, you know those rib-cracking-really–warm-lift-you-up-your-feet kind of hugs, He’ll send the just the right person to you (or you to the right person) IF and only IF you stay connected to Him.

I don’t know who this message if for, it just came to me one bleary morning while working hard with my process maps and Microsoft Visio but I know the message for someone out there reading this article is to dream big, and don’t be afraid to take that path. Don’t go the same way all the others go….you noticed that niche in society because only you can fill it. Begin to fill all the holes you notice
because just as you are the only one noticing them, only you can fill them. Believe in yourself and go on to pursue that dream because if u can think it, be damn sure that u can achieve it!!!

Finally, what’s that thing or those things that you always dreamed to do or wanted to do??? GO get started

  1. Well done faithie..this piece u have written is pure quality..people need to understand d truth about life..Greatness in life and satiety only comes when you are living your purpose(which comes after dreaming big, believing that dream and working hard to bringing it to realization).

A man without a goal (dream or purpose) is like a ship with no rudder, a waif, a no-man.

  2. I almost got excited that someone fully gets it. Great beginning; this is the point I've stressed all my life and got the horrible response which you only began to describe.

I fully understand that a good girl like you will never extend that reasoning to the Bible or religion and I'm fine with that.

Pls go, spread the word that people should have some space in their minds to contemplate things they never imagined were right or possible…and they should please read the history of science and of the world. Kudos
