The Kardashians battle child labour allegations

On Wednesday, 21 December, Star magazine reported that the Krdashians used child slave labour in their Chinese factories to produce their K-Dash by Kardashian, the Kris Jenner Kollection and ShoeDazzle lines.

The Kardashians were quick to bite back threatening to sue the magazine for libel and defamation of character. Jill Fritzo, The Kardashian family spokeswoman, told the Daily News that the family is pushing for an investigation just in case, because they “would never condone this” kind of behaviour

According to TMZ, the Kardashians are planning to take the issue to court, calling the reports libellous and unfair.

Rihanna tells Dutch editor: “O! na na”…that’s not my name

In a recent article titled “De Niggabitch,” a writer in Jackie Magazine attempts to offer Dutch women tips on how to look like Rihanna.  Of course the racial slur was taken in bad taste and to add salt to injury, the writer also referred to Rihanna as “Jamaican” when she’s from Barbados.

Rihanna took to twitter to blast editor-in-chief, Eva Hoeke, calling the magazine “a poor representation of the evolution of human rights.”

Soon afterwards, the magazine released a formal statement that read:

“In the interest of Jackie Magazine and all involved [Eva Hoeke] will leave her function as editor-in-chief effective immediately.”

Hoeke released a final comment on the controversy, arguing that their intention was misunderstood, and, besides, “the term ‘niggabitch’ came from America.”

Michael Pitt for Prada! How cool?

Oh, Gisele!

World’s richest supermodel, Gisele Bündchen has no plans of slowing down any time soon especially with fresh faces like Lara Stone and Georgia May Jagger featuring in more fashion ad campaigns this year. Her hard work and persistence  has been paying off thankfully, she’s managed to nab some major spring 2012 campaigns, from Givenchy to Versace and now – Salvatore Ferragamo. Bündchen is definitely on her way to become the first billionaire super model.
