We’re certain you’ve seen the teaser for the sequel to 2016’s Nollywood blockbuster movie, The Wedding Party. But if you haven’t, then here:

How can anyone forget the mindblowing numbers? The revenues that totalled 200 million naira in less than 2 weeks of hitting the cinemas. Forget the numbers. How about the quality of the act put up by nearly all of the cast members?

With this teaser, we can project that the additional cast members – Patience Ozokwor, Chigul, Seyilaw etc – will double the sequel’s chances at becoming another commercial hit. We’re not reaching but maybe it also carries the potential to brazenly challenge the status quo like the first part did.

More importantly, will we return later in December talking nonstop about how Niyi Akinmolayan’s directing skills outclass Kemi Adetiba’s? We really don’t want to be caught in this space, though.

However it goes, we’re sure December is pregnant with the biggest battle of supremacy this 2017! The Wedding Party VS The Other Wedding Party.
