The federal government condemns America’s advisory to citizens

On November 3, the United States warned that there were perceived threats to major hotels in the metropolitan cities of Nigeria. However, they said the Nigerian security agencies were trying to diffuse this threat.
Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, debunked the warning that the US had earlier given, saying this could cost the country its interested investors.

Peter Obi addresses the public since the Supreme Court judgement

In a press conference held on November 6, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, stated that the Supreme Court’s decision has damaged the confidence Nigerians had in the judiciary.
He mentioned that the Independence Electoral Commission (INEC) had shown incompetence during the 2023 election, but the apex court disregarded that.
Our young democracy is ultimately the primary victim and casualty of the courtroom drama; without equivocation, this judgement amounts to a total breach of the Nigerian people’s confidence in our judiciary,” Obi said.
