Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka has on Thursday expressed his satisfaction with President Trump’s last night’s dinner with Democratic lawmakers. He says the President’s move suggests he is serious about his agenda.
Gorka while speaking on “Fox & Friends” said, “Donald J. Trump fired a torpedo into the hull of the GOP to say ‘wake up. I’m serious about what I want to do”.
Gorka’s comments follows Trump’s meeting with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in the White House to discuss new DACA legislation after he phased out the current provision and other lingering governmental issues.
“He won on an agenda of ‘Make America Great Again’ not ‘make the Republican Party great again,’” Gorka said.
Gorka, who left the White House last month, argued that Trump’s meeting with Schumer and Pelosi indicates his strong preference for the Country as a whole over mere affiliation to the Republican Party.
“The GOP doesn’t understand, it is a New York real estate billionaire who won. And there’s a reason for that, because they haven’t served the nation’s interest for more than a decade,”he added.
