Seven years after Cynthia ‘C-Von’ Okpala became MTV Base’s first Nigerian VJ, the discovery of MTV Base’s newest VJ wannabe is only three weeks away.    Episode one of the MTV Base VJ Search – Nigeria follows a host of hopefuls as they make their bid for fame and fortune.

Highlights of the programme will include footage of the hot (and not-so-hot!) candidates as they go through the audition process.  And, for a bit of fun, MTV Base put stars Banky W, Basketmouth, Funke Akindele and Brymo through their audition paces too.

Details of future episodes:

22/24 January – Episode 2: A select few of the talented, and not-so-talented hopefuls meet the judges Banky W (@BankyW), Toolz (@ToolzO), Funke Akindele (@funkeakindele) and MTV Base’s Tim Horwood (@timohorwood) face to face. The final 3 are revealed!

29/31 January – Episode 3: We get to know the top three a little better. The judges brief the top three with a challenge; after MC-ing the finale event, their fate will be decided.

The MTV BASE Nigeria VJ auditions held on the 1st of December 2012 at Fantasy Land, Ikoyi.
