For the fourth time running, one of Africa’s top female acts and two-time winner of the MTV Africa Music Awards Best Female Act (2015 & 2016), Yemi Alade, has returned to Coke Studio Africa. She will be pairing with French rapper of Congolese origin, Youssoupha Mabiki to make Afro-centric music that will have you tapping your feet and gyrating your hips to the rhythm.
“It’s always a nice, fun and loving experience because I get to meet a lot of artists as well. Shout out to the crew,” the Johnny crooner said as she expressed her excitement about returning to the show for the fourth time.
Last year on the show, Yemi Alade took Africa by storm as a hot gist went viral about how she and Trey Songz sizzled from sharing a meal of Jollof rice with the American singer and songwriter. She thought him some Yoruba, and allowed him to “play her body like a guitar” on stage. Didn’t catch that last year? Watch here now!
Get ready Africa! With the multiple award-winning Nigerian songbird back on the show, the question on everyone’s lips is: “How will she tickle our senses this time?”
